What is a Skin Peel?

The Skin Peel process treats signs of skin damage, including:

How are Skin Peels administered?

A mild acid product is applied the skin for a predetermined length of time, after which a neutraliser is applied to stop the action of the acid.

How often can I have a Skin Peel?

This depends on the product used, but will usually be at monthly intervals. Usually four to six treatments are required

Are chemical Skin Peels safe?

Yes - if you are in trained hands. At The Aesthetic Centre we have professional doctors, nurses and therapists who administer the procedure with products we trust, ensuring professional results.

These products include those for home maintenance, which is important to protect and repair the dermal structure of the skin after the peel. We also provide a Photo Therapy session after your peel to speed up the healing process.

How do Skin Peels work?

Doctors have discovered that after skin has been lightly burned it recovers in an improved condition.

This finding lead to the practice of Skin Peels - lightly burning (or "peeling") the skin using various approved acids. This removes old, damaged skin and stimulates new epidermal growth.
