Why does the ReFirme™ Skin Tightening work?

Collagen and elastin depletion in the dermis result in the loss of dermal volume. This creates laxity and sagging of the skin.

The ReFirme procedure uses a combination of gentle pulsed infrared light and bipolar radio frequency (RF) to provide deep dermal heating, up to 4-5mm in depth. This stimulates the collagen synthesis, which leads to the appearance of skin tightening.

Is it safe? Will it hurt?

The ReFirme Skin Tightening treatments are painless and require no topical anaesthetics or other skin preparations. The system is considered as safe and includes a patient comfort system which monitors your skin and keeps it cool during the procedure.

The procedure times will vary but usually take about 30 minutes. You will be able to continue with normal activities after a treatment.
